Baby Essentials

Posted by mommywiz on January 28, 2009

It’s time again for the quarterly, Bloggy Giveaways.  I am running two giveaways, one on each blog.  This giveaway maybe be small, but it’s a bare essential.  It can be scary to cut a baby’s nails, in particular a newborn.  This nail care set is the best one I’ve found yet.  You can use the scissors which have a safety lip to cut long nails and then switch to the tiny emery board to finish off the job.  It’s really perfect!!  Then, when baby gets older, you can switch to the nail cutter.

I have also included a set of rattle slippers, size 12 months.  My MIL brought them directly from Singapore.  I never got around to putting them on my son and now they’re too small.baby_stuff_ga_0109

So, I guess you wanna know how to win?!

The rules for my giveaways are simple.

To enter my giveaway, simply subscribe to my main blog HERE on the sidebar AND leave a comment on THIS BLOG with the answer to these two questions and let me know you subscribed.

Do you find blogger reviews helpful?!  Why or why not?

One entry per person only.   Please provide a valid e-mail address so I can contact you if you’re the winner.

You don’t have to be a blogger to enter.  I will only ship within the continental US though.

I will close the drawings on Sunday, February 1, 2009 at 10pm EST.

The winners will be chosen by random number generator and will be notified via e-mail. They will have three business days to respond.  If they do not respond within the alloted time, I will
choose another winner.  The winners will be notified/posted as soon as possible.

I must have a way to contact you if you are the winner.

GOOD LUCK!

I find your reviews helpful because it allows an honest opinion and give me an idea of whether i should spend or save. In this uncertain economy you have to be very conscious of your spending.

I’m having so much fun making friends and blog-hopping again this year.

Thanks for such a generous giveaway! I hope I’m chosen as the lucky winner!!!

I am new to blog review sites so I am going to be honest.
There are some products I wouldn’t even consider just because of what they are no matter what the review. However there are many that a good review could sway me to the side of purchasing.

We are a one income family with kids so I am careful as to every penny we spend. I think review sites like yours serve a valuable service to people like me.

    Thanks for the opportunity.

I think blogger reviews are very helpful. I learn about good deals, helpful items (and unhelpful ones), and learn about how things work in the real world. Obviously, I take it all with a grain of salt and measure it up to my own preferences and lifestyle, but especially those whose lifestyle I want to emulate (frugal, natural, healthy, etc.), I will often try new things that I never dreamed I would before. Thanks!

First, I subscribed to your main blog via your link.

As to your question, do I find blogger reviews helpful? I must answer both yes and no. For the yes: if the review is something I think I might need or might want to purchase for our family or for friends, the answer is yes. I love to hear about new products and don’t want to waste money on a shoddy product. With that being said, sometimes I must answer No. If it is for a product we do not need or never would buy in the first place, a product review is not useful to me. It is similar to viewing a catalogue. Am I going to look closely at each and every item in a catalogue, and devour the details? No, I will carefully look at and research items I might consider buying. Overall, I do find blogger reviews helpful, interesting, and I usually read them.

Oh my gosh, what a WONDERFUL giveaway! My baby would look so dashing in a cool pair of Booties from Singapore- how cool is that? I could surely use the nail kit too! We are expecting and I dont have one yet. Thanks SO much for the chance.

I LOVE reading reviews on blogs. They really help me form an opinion and decide whether or not to buy. And I know they are coming from real people who have really used them. I have a good example from this week too. I was thinking about buying something for my oldest for her birthday. Well, one review I read (on a blog I read frequently) told me something that made me change my mind. I had read a lot about this product yet had never heard this. I decided it wasnt the toy for her. So, yes, I love them!

Yes, I find them helpful because these people are not getting paid to promote something so you know it’s honest info.
