Did Someone Say FREE, DARK Chocolate?!

Posted by mommywiz on August 10, 2009

Enter my Reese’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup Giveaway!! on this post.

Do you know why I love blogging? Because once in a while, I get to try out really cool stuff and then tell you all about it.

For instance, did you know that The Hershey Company is now producing Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups?

Now, I am not a big fan of peanut butter. Yep, my secret’s out. Peanut butter is gooey and sticks to the roof of my mouth… I don’t eat it out of the jar like so many people I know do. Yet, I have never turned down a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup; never! There is something about that combination that makes a Reese’s Peanut Butter Cup irresistible, am I right?!

So, now imagine, for a moment, that same amazing taste only with dark chocolate?!

I received Reese’s Miniatures Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups and several packets of the large cups in the mail last week. I was on cloud nine all day!!
Reese Dark med

I could have hogged them all to myself; hiding them in the vegetable drawer of the refrigerator – trust me, no one ever looks there! But, instead, I shared them with family and friends to see what they thought of them. This was the conclusion: If you LOVE dark chocolate the way I do, then you will absolutely LOVE this new line!! But if you do not like dark chocolate (which doesn’t make any sense to me), then it may not be for you.

Dark chocolate comes in so many different concentrations. The Reese’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cup is the perfect concentration. It is not bitter at all, but it’s not the overly sweet, sweet taste of the milk chocolate cup. Once you eat one, you get the great peanut butter flavor along with the aftertaste of the dark chocolate, and it stays with you, until you eat the next cup. It really is wonderful! C’mon, who eats only one cup?!

Just to show you how wonderful this product is, the Hershey Company is going to send FIVE lucky winners FREE Reese’s Dark Chocolate Peanut Butter Cups! That’s right, FREE. And if you think chocolate cannot be mailed, think again. They pack them using these really cool, reusable, freezer packs that keep the chocolate nice and cool until they can finally melt in your mouth!! And it’s all yours to keep!

So, if you’re a dark chocolate lover like me or if you want to surprise someone in your life with this incredible treat, you definitely want to enter this giveaway!

Here’s how it works!

You may enter as many times as you want; that’s right, enter away!

There’s tons of reasons why I should be the winner. I’m a chocolate lover and I can’t live without it. But most importantly, I should be the winner because work has been really stressful lately and what I’d do with it, is hide it in my desk and pull it out whenever I feel like having a nervous breakdown, banging my head on my desk, or killing someone. It would stop me from committing a crime, therefore creating a safer office environment. And dark chocolate and peanut butter? YUMMMMM…it’s good for ya…what can I say? Protein and antioxidants…can’t get any better.

Oh my… why should I win free *dark* chocolate Reese’s cups? Because at the end of the day, after helping everybody with all the little things (and big things) they have to deal with, I need to come home to a little self-indulgence. If I am chosen as a winner, these bad boys are going straight into my home office’s mini-fridge ’til they’re so cold that the chocolate will make that satisfying crunch when I bite into it. It helps that putting them in there will keep them out of view of prying eyes, giving me a fighting chance of getting to them before they’re all gone.

I probably shouldn’t be the winner since I’m trying to lose weight, but even so I still need to have a treat once in awhile or I’ll go insane. I love dark chocolate and Reeses Peanut Butter Cups so this sounds yummy!

I would not share. No, I would not. And I’m not at all ashamed to admit that.

  7. I should win because I have two girls, ages 3.5 and 1.5, who only ignore my chocolate if it’s dark chocolate. And I’m pregnant so I really need my own stash of chocolate!

Oh sorry. Dark Chocolate is healthy for you, right? And Peanut Butter is protien. So It’s a healthy snack. Therefore my kids won’t like it anyway…right?

This might make my afternoon at work a little easier to get through.

I love dark chocolate! After a long summer of trying to keep 3 kids entertained on no budget, and listening to how bored they all are, I am ready for school to start on Aug 20 and I will sit back, enjoy the peace and quiet while they are all gone and slowly eat my Reese’s dark chocolate peanut butter cups as a reward for surviving the summer. I will absolutely hide them so they don’t end up in someone’s lunchbox!

Reeses cups are the best thing ever, and I can’t wait to try the dark chocolate ones. While it would be nice if I said I would share them, if truth be told I’d hide them. And enjoy them all to myself. Yes, I’m selfish when it comes to chocolate! LOL

I should win because I adore dark chocolate and can’t wait to try this combination. I should also win because I have the very best hiding place for Reeses peanut butter cups ever! Did you realize three packages will fit perfectly in an empty butter box?? I always have at least two pounds of butter (one is really butter but the other is an empty box)stacked in my fridge at all times, so I can hide peanut butter cups in the bottom one. In twenty years no one has caught on yet!

How appropriate! I just tweeted about the benefits of dark chocolate for heart health. I should win because my daughter is a Reese’s fiend. I will share, of course.

This is why I should win the free chocolates. I love dark chocolate SO much that when I was nursing my infant she would SCREAM at night…I chalked it up to “that fussy time of night”…until sweet MommyWizdom asked me what I’d been eating. I told her about a bag of dark chocolate a day to ensure that I didn’t go completely insane with two kids (couldn’t drink alcohol, so chocolate was the next best thing!). I’m sure everyone can hear how loudly MommyWizdom screamed at me to stop eating chocolate – duh – it was making my baby VERY uncomfortable!!! I stopped and so did the screaming! So, somehow this true story makes me the best candidate…

Oh, and I would definitely hide them – I’m not good at sharing, especially dark chocolate Reese’s peanut butter cups…
